The Writing on the Wall We have four different passages on the walls throughout the school. They encourage our children, teachers, parents, and congregation members who read these verses and remind us of why we are here and for whom we are truly working. They also provide a clear witness to visitors as they go through our building, explaining who we are and that our focus is on Jesus each and every day. Each verse has a specific reason for its location. There is one to greet visitors, one to encourage those who work with little children, one to encourage our pre-teen and teenage youth, and one to encourage all who step into the gym to do their best. |

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip 2011 The preschoolers and Kindergartners had a fantastic, fun-filled field trip at the perfect pumpkin patch, totally enjoying the gorgeous God-given weather. The highlights included feeding the goats, touring the "not-so-scary" haunted house, riding through the fields on the big tractor-pulled wagon, and seeing the huge horses as they rode to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin. There was a terrific turnout from our parents, for which we are always thankful. |

A Visit from a Firefighter A firefighter visited the kindergarten classroom during Fire Prevention Week to talk to the children about what to do if there is a fire. He also showed the children what a firefighter looks like dressed in all of his equipment and sounds like breathing through the mask. Now if they are ever trapped in a fire, they know not to be afraid when they see the firefighter approaching or hear the noise from his mask. |

5-8 Rock Climbing On Monday, December 20th, the students in grades 5-8 took a special Physical Education field trip to Nekoosa High School. The Phy. Ed. teacher, Mrs. Candace Strehlau, took the children to do some team building activities and some rock climbing. The two go hand-in-hand as those climbing the wall must be confident in the people below them that are in control of how fast he/she might come down off of the wall. Everyone had a great time, and we had numerous children make it to the top of the wall. Thank you Mrs. Strehlau, great idea! |
