Community Emergency Response Team

Helping When Disaster Strikes

Our congregation is forming a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Our CERT would supplement emergency services during emergency situations. Through training, we can help manage utilities, put out small fires, provide basic medical treatment, and aid with search & rescue. All members are encouraged to participate. Students age 12-17 can participate along with their parents. More information and a sign up sheet can be found in the Welcome Center. Please consider volunteering

Bible Classes Starting

Resolve to Study God’s Word

Put growing in knowledge of your Lord at the top of your list of New Year’s resolutions. Learn how to study the Bible on your own at the “Growing in Christ” course, offered Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 7. Also on Wednesdays, the Timely Topics group will begin a study on the book of Acts at 10:30 a.m. and you can learn to talk easily about your faith at the “Sharing Christ” course at 6:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Jan. 11, you can find out what the Bible says about heaven and hell at 9:15 a.m. and another round of Financial Peace University begins at 6:30 p.m. For a full listing of Small Group Studies and Bible Classes, please see the “Week at a Glance” insert.

Calling all teens! It’s time for a change. Stop spending money you don’t have to buy things you don’t need to impress people you don’t even like. Get answers to your questions about debt, credit cards, budgeting, saving, giving, income, college savings and more.

Join Generation Change starting on January 11. This entertaining, informative, media-driven Bible study shows you how money really works, how God views money, and how to grow into a responsible young adult who is ready to embrace all of God’s blessings. The course meets on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. in room 110.

Financial Peace University

Financial Peace University is a biblically-based, video-driven small group study that teaches families to beat debt, build wealth and give like never before!
